  • I just got a crown fit on my teeth but it hurts a lot. Does it require re-treatment?

    Sometimes a root canal treatment is required on teeth that have crowns. Check with your Dentist, you may need a root canal in addition to the crown.   • I had some bleeding in my gums while brushing. Could it be serious?

    Bleeding while brushing is an indication of gingivitis (gum inflammation/disease) and/or Periodontitis (gum disease with bone loss). I would strongly recommend you go see a dentist for a professional evaluation and dental cleaning. That will help you. In the meantime, you can do salt water rinses at home 5 times a day for 5 days and the bleeding will reduce.     That's great You are not having any pain right now. Typically, it is recommended first 24 hours to eat and drink only cold things and only soft diet.   • Very swollen and red gums after routine dental cleaning

    Sore gums after a dental cleaning sometimes could happen if a little more detail cleaning was needed on your last appointment compare to previous appointments you had with your dentist. I would recommend that you start rinsing with warm salt water at least 3-5 times a day for the next 3-5 days.     I first visited Dr.Escala office for regular dental check up. I explained that I have suffered from TMJ for several years. He offered a new alternative to traditional braces. He offered Clear correct to correct my TMJ. The Ortho plan was affordable and easy to maintain. I would highly recommend Dr.Escala for all dental needs. His staff team is expcepitional! Great customer service.
