Gary S. Corder, a Certified Physician Assistant specializing in cardiology, is a part of the esteemed team at Cardiovascular Associates of Charlottesville, PLC in Virginia. He has a wealth of experience and expertise in managing patients with arrhythmias, cardiac implantable devices, and those undergoing cardiac ablations, making a significant impact in the field of cardiology.

Gary’s journey to becoming a trusted healthcare professional began with his undergraduate education at the University of Central Florida. He further honed his skills by completing his Certification in Cardiology and Vascular Ultrasound at Florida Hospital College of Health Sciences. Eager to expand his knowledge, Gary pursued Physician Assistant Studies at Kettering College of Medical Arts, affiliated with the Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine in Ohio.

As a committed healthcare provider, Gary has maintained his certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants since 2001. Additionally, he holds credentials as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS), Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT), and Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS). 

Gary’s passion for education is evident through his former role as an adjunct faculty member at James Madison University Physician Assistant program, where he imparted his knowledge to aspiring healthcare professionals. He worked with Pharm D residents as well in a clinical setting regarding the use of antiarrhythmic medicines. He is a member of the Heart Rhythm Society, demonstrating his dedication to advancing cardiovascular care.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Gary finds joy in staying active through playing pickleball and hiking, showcasing his commitment to a balanced lifestyle.
