Dr. Farmer is a trusted obstetrician-gynecologist in practice with OB / GYN Specialists of the Palm Beaches, seeing patients at the office in Jupiter and  Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.

Since 1968, OB / GYN Specialists of the Palm Beaches has been at the forefront of providing quality healthcare to women in the community. Long recognized as the premier OB / GYN group in the area, the practice has grown over the years to encompass twenty-six board-certified physicians, all of whom were trained at highly regarded university hospital teaching programs. The practice now sees patients in Jupiter, Palm Beach Gardens, West Palm Beach, Wellington, and Boynton Beach.

At the start of her academic career, Dr. Farmer graduated with her medical degree from the University of Zulia in Venezuela in 1990. She then went on to perform her residencies at Dr. Luis Razzetti Hospital (1993), Hospital Vargas of Caracas / Dr. Jesus Yerena Hospital (1993), and Jackson Memorial Hospital (2014). 

Specializing in women’s health, the doctor is board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG). The mission of the ABOG is to define specialty standards, certify obstetricians and gynecologists, and facilitate continuous learning to advance knowledge, practice, and professionalism in women’s health.

In addition to being a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (FACOG), Dr. Farmer is an active member of the Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology, the American Medical Association, and AAGL – Elevating Gynecologic Surgery. 

Licensed to practice medicine in Florida, she is affiliated with Jupiter Medical Center Saint Mary’s Medical Center and Lakeside Medical Center.

Obstetrics and gynecology (OB-GYN) is the medical specialty that encompasses the two subspecialties of obstetrics (covering pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period) and gynecology (covering the health of the female reproductive system – vagina, uterus, ovaries, and breasts). An obstetrician-gynecologist specializes in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases and disorders that affect women, such as breast cancer, cervical cancer, and menopause. Additionally, they work with expecting mothers throughout their pregnancies, during childbirth, and into postpartum. 

Among Dr. Farmer’s philanthropic endeavors include Cuatro por Venezuela and Proyecto Salvavidas. She attributes her success to perseverance, hard work, and goal setting.
