Get to know Dermatopathologist Dr. Christine Roloff, who serves patients throughout the State of Illinois.

An excellent dermatopathologist, Dr. Roloff is in practice at Derick Dermatology, serving patients in the Barrington and Elgie areas.

In regards to her educational background, Dr. Roloff graduated magna cum laude with her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago, and earned her medical degree from the University of Illinois College of Medicine. She then went on to complete her residency in anatomic & clinical pathology and her fellowship in dermatopathology at Saint Louis University, serving as Chief Resident in her final year of residency.

Subsequent to her education, the doctor attained board certification in dermatopathology & anatomic and clinical pathology through the American Board of Pathology (ABPath). The mission of the ABPath is to promote the health of the public and advance the practice and science of pathology by establishing voluntary certification standards and assessing the qualifications of those seeking to practice the specialty of pathology.

Remaining up to date in her field, she is an active member of the American Society of Dermatopathology, the International Society of Dermatopathology, the College of American Pathologists, the American Society for Clinical Pathology, and the American Medical Association.

Dermatopathology is a joint subspecialty of dermatology and pathology or surgical pathology that focuses on the study of cutaneous diseases at a microscopic and molecular level. A dermatopathologist is a highly trained physician who specializes in diagnosing disorders of the skin under a microscope.

Throughout her illustrious career, Dr. Roloff has been the recipient of various honors and accolades, including the American Society of Dermatopathology Duel in Dermatopathology Champion, College of American Pathologists CAP Foundation Leadership Development Award, Alumni Association Student Leadership Award, Otto Saphir Memorial Scholarship Award, Dean’s Award, Outstanding Community Service and Leadership Award, Illinois General Assembly Scholarship Award, Chancellor’s Student Service Award, Golden Key International Honor Society Member and Treasurer, Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society Member, Honors College Member, and Chicago Park District Alumni of the Year Award.
