Get to know Family Nurse Practitioner, Vida Wong, who serves patients in New York, New York.

Vida, a family nurse practitioner, has been working at Mannam Medical Center since June of 2020. Her interests are in family medicine, gynecological care, and geriatric care.

Mannam Medical Center, conveniently located in the Soundview neighborhood of The Bronx in New York City, is a progressive health care center serving patients aged 12 and over. It offers preventive care as well as treatments for acute and chronic illnesses, like diabetes and asthma. 

Graduating with her high school diploma from Cathedral High School in 2003, Vida went on to further her education. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from the University at Buffalo in 2008, her Master of Science in Nursing degree from the State University of New York Downstate Medical Center College of Medicine in 2013, and her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from Dominican University New York in 2020.

Throughout her professional career as a family nurse practitioner, Vida has worked at Apollo Med Services (June 2015 - May 2020), Kings Harbor Multicare Center (April 2019 - September 2019), and at Pelham Parkway Nursing Home (October 2015 - July 2018), among others.

A Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) provides continuing and comprehensive healthcare for the individual and family across all ages, genders, diseases, and body systems. FNPs maintain patient records, perform physical exams, order or perform diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, develop treatment plans, as well as treat acute and chronic illnesses, conditions, and injuries that fall under primary care.
