Dr. Cantrell Jr. is a board-certified pediatrician who is currently serving patients at his private practice – Summit Pediatrics – in Marietta, Georgia. At Summit Pediatrics, he treats children and young adults with school, behavioral, attentional, and other related problems.

Prior to his current endeavors, Dr. Cantrell Jr. served on the speaker bureau for three pharmaceutical companies, lecturing widely in the Southeastern United States. He was the founder and Director of Cobb Pediatric Neuroeducational Center in 1996.

Dr. Cantrell Jr. actively lectures for the Cobb County School System on ADHD and related behavioral problems. He also has staff memberships at several local hospitals, including Kaiser Permanente.

Dr. Cantrell Jr. earned his medical degree from the Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara in 1981. He then went on to complete his internship at Pontiac General Hospital in 1983, followed by his residency in pediatrics at William Beaumont Hospital in 1986. 

Dr. Cantrell Jr. is board-certified in pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics (ABP). The ABP is an independent, nonprofit organization whose certificate is recognized throughout the world as a credential signifying a high level of physician competence. The mission of the ABP is to advance child health by certifying pediatricians who meet standards of excellence and are committed to continuous learning and improvement.

Dr. Cantrell Jr. is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics.

As a pediatrician, Dr. Cantrell Jr. examines, diagnoses, and treats children of all ages with a wide variety of injuries and illnesses.
