Kent T. Weinheimer, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon and fellowship trained hand and upper extremity surgeon offering expert care for patients at his practice in Amarillo, Texas. He takes an active role in orthopedic research, has presented his results nationally, and been published in the leading orthopedic and hand journals. He received his undergraduate degree in mechanical engineering from Texas Tech University in 2007 and his medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern in 2013. He then completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at Pennsylvania State University and his fellowship in hand and upper extremity surgery at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX. With a background in engineering and specialized training in hand and upper extremity surgery, Dr. Weinheimer is uniquely qualified to treat an array of orthopedic conditions. He lives in Amarillo with his wife, Dr. Rachel Weinheimer, a colon and rectal surgeon with Texas Oncology and an Amarillo native. They have two young children, Grace and Jack, and are glad to be raising their family in Amarillo.
