Get to know Colorectal Surgeon Dr. Kulvir Singh Nandra, who serves patients throughout the State of New Jersey.

Dr. Nandra is a colorectal surgeon at New York Bariatric Group with offices throughout the state of New Jersey. He offers a wide range of colorectal surgery options with the latest robotic and minimally invasive techniques and also specializes in the treatment of common rectal problems such as hemorrhoids with office-based procedures.

Originally born in England, Dr. Nandra grew up in Florida. He attended medical school at Florida State University College of Medicine and graduated top of his class. He then completed his general surgery training in Philadelphia and colorectal surgery training at Rutgers University. 

An expert in his field, he is board-certified in general surgery by the American Board of Surgery (ABS). The ABS is  an independent, non-profit organization located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, founded for the purpose of certifying surgeons who have met a defined standard of education, training, and knowledge.

With his extensive training and consummate commitment to colorectal care, Dr. Nandra is uniquely qualified to help individuals find relief from even the most painful and sensitive issues. He approaches each case with an unmatched level of compassion and understanding and will work closely with each patient to help them discover the dietary choices and lifestyle patterns that can guide them away from their colorectal issues.

In the State of New Jersey, he is affiliated with Clara Maass Medical Center and Mountainside Medical Center. 

Colorectal surgery is a field in medicine dealing with disorders of the rectum, anus, and colon. It covers caring for patients with cancers of the colon, rectum and anus along with other benign disorders like inflammatory bowel disease (Ulcerative Colitis and Crohn’s Disease), diverticulitis and a myriad of anorectal pathologies like hemorrhoids, fistulas, abscesses and fissures.

Throughout his line of work, Dr. Nandra has won several teaching awards and has presented research on Telehealth at national meetings.
