Ashley Carson stands as a beacon of compassionate healthcare in San Antonio, Texas, where she serves as a dedicated Nurse Practitioner (NP). With a profound commitment to patient well-being, NP Carson ensures that each individual under her care receives prompt, high-quality treatment, along with the necessary support and resources to maintain optimal health.

In regards to her educational background, she earned her Master of Science in Nursing from the esteemed University of South Alabama in 2020. Her academic prowess is reflected in her stellar academic record, graduating at the top of her class with a remarkable 3.94 GPA. 

As a former Captain in the United States Army, she served as an Emergency & Trauma Registered Nurse, providing critical care to those in need both stateside and in Afghanistan. Her exemplary service was honored with numerous awards and accolades, including the prestigious Army Commendation Medal with Combat Device and the Meritorious Service Medal.

Driven by her unwavering dedication to the military community, she established Hero Care, L.L.C., a venture aimed at providing medical opinions and care for America’s Heroes. Her commitment to supporting and advocating for Veterans underscores her profound sense of duty and compassion.

Holding membership status, NP Carson is actively involved in various professional organizations, including the American Academy of Emergency Nurse Practitioners and the Texas Nurse Practitioners. She is also a proud member of several honor societies, including Alpha Lambda Delta, Gamma Beta Phi, and the Zeta Gamma Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International (STTI) Honor Society.

A Nurse Practitioner is an advanced practice registered nurse and a type of advanced practice provider. NPs are trained to assess, diagnose disease, order and interpret diagnostic imaging, laboratory tests, rehabilitative therapy, as well as formulate and prescribe treatment plans.

Among her most notable achievements, NP Carson’s dedication to excellence was further recognized with a Leadership Award from the University of South Alabama, underscoring her exceptional leadership qualities and contributions to her program.

On a more personal note, she finds joy in singing live music and staying active through running track and playing basketball.
