Innovative Surgical Care and Patient Education at the Forefront of His Practice

A highly skilled general and trauma surgeon, Dr. Leneweaver works with patients at Ascension Sacred Heart Hospital Pensacola. He brings a wealth of experience and a patient-centered approach to surgical care, enhancing the comprehensive services provided to the Pensacola community.

With a commitment to personalized and compassionate care, he prioritizes patient education, ensuring that each patient fully understands their treatment options and participates actively in their healthcare journey. He specializes in a wide range of surgical procedures including robotic, laparoscopic, and open surgeries. His expertise encompasses breast biopsy and cancer surgeries, abdominal surgeries, colon/rectal and hemorrhoid surgeries, hernia repairs, gallbladder and appendix surgeries, skin mass and cyst removals, as well as port placement and removal. 

Education-wise, Dr. Leneweaver completed his medical education at Nova Southeastern University, followed by a fellowship at Cooper University Hospital. He honed his surgical skills during his residency at Flushing Hospital Medical Center and completed his internship at Broward Health Medical Center. He is board-certified by The American Board of Surgery in both general surgery and surgical critical care, and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS).

A keen researcher, his dedication to advancing medical knowledge is evidenced by his published research in medical textbooks and the American Journal of Hematology. He has shared his insights on various platforms, presenting at national and international conferences such as the American College of Physicians and the International Federation for the Surgery of Obesity and Metabolic Disorders. His contributions to the field underscore his commitment not only to patient care but also to the ongoing education of healthcare professionals.

Outside of his medical practice, Dr. Leneweaver is an avid soccer enthusiast and enjoys various interests such as music, working on cars, exercising, reading, and exploring new technologies.
