After earning his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific, Dr. Aziz went on to complete his residency in orthopedic surgery in Riverside, California. Upon finishing his residency, he and his family moved to Birmingham so that he could complete an AO spine surgery fellowship at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. 

Falling in love with the Southeast, he and his family chose to put down roots and raise their family in Birmingham.
