Dr. Castro completed his medical education through the accelerated program at the University of Missouri–Kansas City School of Medicine in 2017. He then pursued a general surgery residency at Orlando Regional Medical Center, followed by a fellowship in bariatric and minimally invasive surgery at the University of Missouri. His extensive training equips him to offer advanced surgical options for patients battling obesity and related health conditions. 

At CoxHealth, Dr. Castro is committed to providing patient-centered care, utilizing minimally invasive techniques to enhance recovery times and outcomes.
