Back in 1994, Dr. Pashmforoush graduated with his medical degree from the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine. He then went on to complete his residency in internal medicine at the University of Washington Medical Center in 1996, followed by a fellowship in cardiovascular disease at the University of California, San Diego in 2003, and a fellowship in cardiac electrophysiology at the University of California, San Francisco in 2004.
Holding a license to practice medicine in California, the doctor is board-certified in cardiovascular disease, clinical care electrophysiology, and internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.
Alongside his clinical role, he serves as an Assistant Professor of Medicine within the Division of Cardiology/Cardiac Electrophysiology at the University of Southern California.
