Graduating with his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree and his Doctor of Philosophy degree in Pathology from the Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine, he completed his residency in internal medicine at the University of Wisconsin. Later, he completed his fellowship in medical oncology with a specialization in breast cancer at the National Cancer Institute/National Health Institutes.
A Fellow of the American College of Physicians (FACP), the doctor is board-certified in medical oncology and internal medicine by the American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine (AOBIM). The AOBIM is an organization that provides board certification to qualified Doctors of Osteopathic Medicine who specialize in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of disease in adults. He has numerous breast cancer research related publications and has participated in numerous clinical trials for breast cancer.
Working closely with breast surgeons, radiation oncologists, plastic surgeons, and other sub-specialists, Dr. Paul participates in a weekly breast tumor board conference. During these tumor boards, cancer experts collaborate and review cases, share knowledge, and determine the best possible treatment for each patient.
