Get to know  Dr. Timothy H. Matthews, a pathologist, who serves patients in Louisville, Kentucky.

Dr. Matthews is a board-certified anatomic and clinical pathologist practicing at East Louisville Pathology at Baptist Hospital East in Louisville, Kentucky. He is currently licensed to practice medicine in the states of Kentucky and Indiana.

Dr. Matthews attended the University of Louisville school of Medicine in Louisville, Kentucky, and received his medical degree in 1983. He then pursued his anatomic and clinical pathology residency training with the same teaching venue graduating in 1987.

Dr. Matthews attained board-certification in clinical and anatomical pathology with the American Board of Pathology (ABPath). The American Board of Pathology (ABPath) is one of 24 member boards of the American Board of Medical Specialties. 

Pathology is the study of the causes and effects of disease or injury. The word pathology also refers to the study of disease in general, incorporating a wide range of biology research fields and medical practices.
