Get to know Allergist & Immunologist Dr. Vicki Lyons, who serves patients in Ogden, Utah.

A board-certified allergist & immunologist, Dr. Lyons has been named one of the top allergy and immunology specialists in the region by The Leading Physicians of the World publication. At Advanced Allergy & Asthma in Ogden, Utah, she uses her expertise to help patients of all ages manage chronic allergies and asthma for the long-term. She is highly skilled in diagnosing and treating seasonal allergies, food allergies, eczema, and asthma and takes a patient-centered approach to short-term and long-term care plans.

The board-certified medical team at Advanced Allergy & Asthma is dedicated to providing the most cutting-edge treatments for acute and chronic allergies, asthma, and related conditions. The office in Ogden, Utah, is fully equipped with the latest technologies to diagnose and treat the many disruptive symptoms of allergies, asthma, eczema, and other chronic health issues.

With a broad educational background, Dr. Lyons earned her medical degree from Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans. She went on to complete her residency in internal medicine at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, and later finished her fellowship training in allergy and immunology at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. During her training, she received the prestigious Presidential Merit Scholarship and was selected for a National Institute of Health Study Research Fellowship.

Subsequent to her education, the doctor attained board certification in allergy & immunology through the American Board of Allergy and Immunology (ABAI). The mission of the ABAI is to improve the quality of medical care by the development and utilization of professional and educational standards for the initial certification and maintenance of certification of physician specialists in allergy and immunology.

Among her other roles, she serves as a Section Leader within the Department of Allergy and Immunology at McKay Dee Hospital. She previously served as the President of the Utah Chapter of the American Lung Association and the Utah Society of Allergy and Asthma.

In addition to her clinic work, Dr. Lyons has been a principal investigator for over 130 Federal Drug Administration (FDA) research studies involving a wide variety of illnesses and medications. She also is the author of numerous medical articles on asthma, drug allergies, and immunotherapy, and the Co-Founder of What Doctors Know, an international digital publication.

Allergy and immunology involve the management of disorders related to the immune system. These conditions range from the very common to the very rare, spanning all ages and encompassing various organ systems. An allergist / immunologist is a physician specially trained to diagnose, treat, and manage allergies, asthma, and immunologic disorders, including primary immunodeficiency disorders.
