Shannen Doherty Discusses Her Breast Reconstruction Surgery
She sported many different hairstyles before eventually shaving all of her hair
One of the most difficult experiences that Doherty admitted to going through was losing her hair – the iconic dark locks she was best known for in her portrayal as Brenda Walsh on Beverly Hills 90210. After her second chemotherapy treatment, Doherty recalled trying to brush out her hair, only to have huge clumps remain in her hands. “It was just shedding and it was driving me crazy,” she said. Eventually, she decided to shave her entire head with the help of her friend, fashion model Anne Marie Kortright. “We did stages. We did a pixie. And then we did a mohawk, which was my favorite look. And then finally, we had to get the shaver thing and just buzz it off,” recalled Doherty. She even shared raw and inspiring photos of herself throughout the entire process on Instagram.
