Usually, it would be a minimum of two weeks of healing before your dentist can start the process of making the denture. The first step is Impressions. The more healed the soft tissue is, the more accurate that the impressions will be and therefore the better the denture will fit. So, something like 4-6 weeks before impressions is more ideal after extractions. You can have a temporary denture made for immediate placement on the day of extractions. But this denture will probably have to be replaced later with a denture fabricated once the ridge/soft tissues have healed.
How do I get relief from a toothache?
First thing to try is some over-the-counter pain med - tylenol, advil, aleve (generics are okay).
Can a salt water rinse heal a gum infection?
