Does your daughter also have posterior nasal drainage? The drainage and associated inflammation could be causing her uvula to be elongated. Did she have any G.I. symptoms such as reflux or any irritable bowel symptoms? Testing for environmental allergies or IgG food allergies would be helpful to understand what's causing the postnasal drip. I recommend only getting the IgG food testing through LabCorp or Quest diagnostic.The other secondary labs are not as sophisticated or helpful in making these diagnoses.

Thyroid?

Infection in head and neck with swollen lymph nodes in neck. See an ENT. Thyroid ultrasound no significant findings.

Is my eardrum ruptured?

If a culture was not taken, the doctor is guessing on treatment. Ear culture and, if necessary, an ear CT scan would help figure out what's wrong. Make an appointment.
