Blurry vision after swimming in a pool may be caused by a combination of factors, the most common of which is contact with chlorinated water that has a pH different than the skin and the eye surface creating irritation. The best way to restore the natural Ph in and around the eye is flushing the pool water immediately with clean water. For frequent swimmers it may be a good idea to use EyeWash (over-the-counter solution) to rinse the eye after each swim. Cold compresses with clean, cold water also helps as well as artificial tears.
