When I say normal, I mean activity, because you certainly won't look normal. Swelling is variable, but lasts a few weeks, and bruising may take a little longer. Secondly, most patients feel as though their skin is loose (and it is), and are much more comfortable in a snug garment. With that comes significant pain relief.
