Minimum of 4 weeks, though some patients experience swelling for up to two months that will improve with sleeve compression for some part of each 24 hour period.

Head elevated to 45 degrees and iced gauze on the eyes every 30-60 minutes for the first day. Then continue elevation for one week until sutures are removed.
