How many times have you turned down an invitation to a social activity or to just do something for fun? Because you just feel too busy or overwhelmed by what you already have to do? What is your answer when asked the question, “How are you?” Your reply being “busy”. It seems all too often in today’s world almost everyone is just too busy. Busy being the new status quo for “Just leave me alone”. “Can’t you see I don’t have time for this?”

A Major Lesson to Learn Here is that Life is not a Competition

It’s like it has become somewhat of a competition, that being busy has become an obsession or statement as to some type of success label. An obsession is almost of self-importance because if you aren’t busy then you must be lazy or a non-achiever. Well the longer I am on this earth, I have come to realize that it is not about my achievements, it's about being connected. Being connected to people, understanding your inner purpose being of support to your development of who you are, what you have to offer, and just being yourself.

The worst scenario that kills motivation is chronic busyness which leads to chronic stress that kills motivation. By overcoming chronic busyness you will reduce chronic stress that will restore your motivation.
