I have been watching the democratic national convention and absorbing the developing news from CNN, Fox, MSNBC, ABC, CBS, etc. while enduring a punishing heatwave, limited access to air conditioning, and delayed mail delivery of medication. I commend Nancy Pelosi and the democratic house for forcing Trump and his myrmidon Louis De Joy to postpone the destruction of the USPS until after the election. The photographs of destroyed sorting machines, uprooted mailboxes, destroyed collection areas, etc. indicate that enough damage has been irreparably done such that lives, pensions, and very possibly election results have already been affected, for which De Joy should be arrested and tried.
Even Fox News had problems with what has been done. They also were forced into acknowledgment of the style and grace of the Obamas. SARS-CoV-2 continues to rage unchecked throughout the USA. College campuses and youth culture proving unmanageable time after time. Trump and Pence continue to encourage football with full attendance apparently openly relying on law and order campaigning backed by voter suppression. Plasma vaccination is properly questioned by Fauci and Birx and the profit motive has obfuscated and confused the vaccine development process as has a surely misplaced nationalistic Firstism.
