If you haven't worked out for a while or it's your first time, muscles will get sore. I recommend that you ice any sore area from 15 to 20 minutes, as often as once and hour. Also hydration is important for health and the healing process. One should drink at least half your body weight in ounces of water. And your chiropractor should have you on a treatment plan. One visit doesn't always "fix" the issue.

I usually recommend at least once a month, as long as your symptoms aren't severe. In the beginning you may need to be seen as often as 2 to 3 times in a week. For less severe cases, maybe once a week until it's manageable.
