Dr. Gennis also called Dr. David or Dr. G has worked as a Clinical Director overseeing every level of care within the field of behavioral health in addition to working for a prominent Managed Care Organization. Dr. G is currently Clinical and Public Relations Director at Great Mind Counseling & Wellness Center in Las Vegas. Dr. G is a published author and has presented on his clinical work at various conferences throughout the United States. Dr. G has trained, mentored, and supervised many clinicians throughout his 24 years working in the field of Behavioral Health increasing the workforce in both the State of Nevada and California. I would encourage the individual to initially meet with a psychiatrist to determine what psychotropic antianxiety medication may be helpful for the individual. Upon starting medication that the individual takes daily I would encourage the individual to participate in therapy to identify and address the root cause for the panic attacks. The individual needs to learn coping skills, practice utilizing coping skills in real time, and determine which coping skills are effective. Before the individual can determine when to stop taking the medication he or she need to become effective in utilizing coping skills to manage the anxiety so that medication may be assessed and discussed for termination.

Treatment may range from participating in wraparound outpatient services to participating in an Intensive Outpatient Program to requiring Residential Treatment to needing inpatient hospitalization for detoxification services.
