Dr. Pinkerton graduated from Northern Arizona University with a bachelor’s degree in microbiology in 1980. She then went on to dental hygiene school at Temple University in Philadelphia and graduated in 1983. Dr. Pinkerton spent eight years as a dental hygienist and then decided to follow her family’s footsteps and pursue a lifelong passion of becoming a dentist. She achieved that dream in 1994 upon completing her dental education at the University of the Pacific in San Francisco. Dr. Pinkerton has continued her education over the past twenty years in areas such as full porcelain crowns, veneers, as well as completing the Synergy Training Program on restorative therapy for osseointegrated dental implants. She has also participated in many Tucker Gold study classes where she has learned about gold technology and its incredible benefits for restoration. Dr. Pinkerton is proud to be an honored recipient of the Golden Eagle Award presented by Mercer Advisors in 2009 for her successful completion and graduation of the practice management and transitions workshops. She maintains professional memberships with the American Dental Association, the Arizona Dental Association, the American Society of Dentistry for Children, the American Dental Hygiene Association, the Southern Arizona Dental Association, the Tucker Institute, Mercer Advisors, and the Active Alumni of the University of the Pacific, School of Dentistry.
