Can Aromatherapy Ease the Pain of Fibromyalgia?

What to use for pain

Use the following essential oils by adding them to massage oils or to a warm bath.  These oils will go a long way to helping reduce the pain and inflammation that is often associated with fibro:

  • Peppermint: Reduces pain and muscle spasms and smells great.
  • Helichrysum: Relieves muscle pain and improves circulation.
  • Black Pepper: Warming properties, warms the muscles, reduces stiffness and improves circulation.
  • Juniper: Acts as a natural relaxant and has a hypertensive nerve calming quality which can help to reduce the painful sensation under the skin that is often felt by those with fibro.
  • Eucalyptus: Increases circulation and helps to flush out toxins.
  • Ginger: Reduces muscle spasms and lowers inflammation
