College Student with Muscular Dystrophy Sparks Inspiration for New Therapy
Hawken as the main drive for these researchers
When asked about the team’s inspiration, Professor Louie stated that it was Hawken and his condition that inspired the team to push through all odds to come up with a solution. He said, Hawken is part of the USC family and they must always look out for one another. Professor Louie added, "it is always the patients that come first, but in this case, it is one of their own that needed help."
