As Caroline pushes through chemotherapy, she has immense support
Mayne’s supporters were outside for nearly an hour, standing in the cold and expressing warm thoughts with her family and friends. “We knew where her room was and we held our banner and tied purple balloons to the light post directly down from her room,” said Julie Gould, PTA co-president at Hamilton Elementary School. Mayne’s mother stated that her entire family felt the love. “How can something so horrible turn into something so good? I will tell you how: friends, family, community. that’s how. Even though Caroline began round two of the most toxic chemo out there later that night, we still have so much to be happy about, and she went into treatment feeling the love from all who attended,” she said.
