Community Rallies Around Student Fighting Lymphoma
Over $2,500 was raised to support the LLS
Caroline Mayne, a beloved student at Troy Athens High School, was 2016’s recipient of Athens’ Charity Week activities, called “Believe in Miracles”. The event was held in honor of raising awareness and funds for cancer prevention and treatment. Her mother, Beth, is a teacher at Hamilton Elementary School and under the leadership of Hamilton Student Council, her students chose to support the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, on behalf of her daughter. Their fundraising efforts helped them to raise $2,619.26!
