Anxiety can be observed in a person with Alzheimer’s or ADRD as a constant wringing of the hands. Walking back and forth is a sign, and continually asking the same questions over and over is anxious behavior.

An aid yelled at her charge to stop asking the same question over and over, “I told you your mother is not coming. So, stop asking.” The person with Alzheimer’s sat quietly down in a chair and tears rolled down her cheeks. She did not communicate with anyone for days.
