Is Inspire Therapy the Right Fit for You?

Inspire Therapy is applied through surgery.

Patients who meet the guidelines for using Inspire Therapy as a treatment option for sleep apnea will need to undergo a mild surgical procedure. Typically the system is implanted under the skin in the neck and chest area. There are no more than three small incisions and the patient is usually free to go home a few hours post-surgery.

Everyone recovers from surgery, even small surgical procedures, a little differently. However, most patients can expect a little pain and swelling at the incisions sites for a few days after the operation. Post-surgical care only requires a bit of rest, over-the-counter pain medication and a rest from any strenuous activity. Most people are safe to return to their normal routine within a few days and have reported a full recovery within a couple of weeks.
