The Link Between Vitamin D and Neuropathic Pain
The relationship between vitamin D and RA even after diagnosis
Another similar study, led by the University of Birmingham, found that sustaining adequate levels of vitamin D can help to prevent the development of inflammatory diseases, such as RA. The research also revealed that while adequate levels of vitamin D can help to prevent the onset of inflammation, the intake of the vitamin is less effective once inflammatory disease, such as RA, has developed because such diseases lead to vitamin D deficiency. The researchers concluded that in order for vitamin D to be used in patients with RA, clinicians would need to prescribe higher doses as well as a treatment plan that can help prevent vitamin D insensitivity.
