Jamie received a lung transplant, but it proved unsuccessful
Just two months before her lung transplant, which was scheduled for March of 2017, Jamie marched in the women’s march in downtown Chillicothe alongside her sisters, mother, and grandmother. Although lung transplants often extend the lives of patients with CF, in Jamie’s case, she remained in the Cleveland Clinic after her transplant and was there until her death in April.
