Personality Traits that Can Affect Alzheimer's Disease
Frequent mood swings
Mood swings are a normal part of human emotions. However, frequent mood swings is another story. Moodiness leads to anxiety if not properly controlled. Stress and hormonal changes are some of the factors that lead to mood swings. Most often than not, women experience more mood swings than men. Though it does not mean that men are safe from this.
A study conducted by the neurologists of American Academy of Neurology shows that a mood swing is an early sign of memory loss. They observed more than 2000 people in their research to look for the connection between moodiness and Alzheimer’s. Around 1000 of these people developed dementia after seven years of research. The scientists concluded that anxiety and stress is the key factor to this. Patients experienced frequent changes of emotions and conditions like irritability, depression, and anxiety.
