Teen Raises Funds for Alzheimer’s Research in Her Grandmother’s Memory
The two friends put this show together for everyone to enjoy
Both girls wanted their guests to have a good time, so they performed a large spectrum of music for their audience. Hannah sang "O sleep, why dost thou leave me?" by Handel and "Can't Help Lovin' Dat Man" from Showboat. Carlie also played a wide range of music, including Mozart's sonatas, hymn, and jazz. The two also performed a few pieces together.
Carlie said, "We put it together with the hope that everyone will enjoy it, and it will be a fun, uplifting evening. And also an evening of hope, in a way. We know a lot of people will come that have been affected. There's a whole community in the world that have had loved ones that have died from the disease, but there's hope down the road. If we can use music to spread that message, it's a pleasure to be able to do something like this.”
