The NBA Makes Space for Autism
The issue resonated with the NBA staff, family and owners
After the Belles family shared their story on social media, they received a call from officials at Cleveland’s Quicken Loans Arena. The senior vice president of facility operations at the venue, Antony Bonavita, also has a son with autism and he was deeply upset when he learned how the security staff dealt with the situation. Bonavita apologized to the family and it was he who began the partnership with KultureCity in order to make the arena more accepting and accessible.
