Understanding Brain Fog in Lupus Patients
Seizures, movement disorders and spinal cord diseases
- Seizures: Patients with lupus may occasionally experience seizures or fits. This condition is more common in teenagers, especially those with a high fever. The manifestations can be prolonged or subdued depending on the intensity and stage of the Lupus autoimmune infection.
- Movement Disorders: Occasionally, patients diagnosed with the lupus condition may experience tremors and movement disorders. A popular symptom may be the Chorea or St. Vitus Dance, which maybe wrongly diagnosed as a form of rheumatic fever.
- Spinal Cord Diseases: Although rare, Spinal cord diseases may manifest as a symptom of lupus brain disease and is linked to the antiphospholipid syndrome.
