Functional changes in vision associated with Alzheimer's disease
In people diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease, some functional changes in vision have been reported to occur. Some researchers have hypothesized that these changes may be a result of co-pathologies, which may suggest the presence of Alzheimer’s disease, which may indicate the presence of the disease.4 It’s also especially important for caregivers of Alzheimer’s disease patients to be aware of these changes so that they can identify vision-related behaviors and make necessary adjustments to care better for the patient.
