When she first got her diagnosis, Jamie-Lynn was terrified. The news was a shock to her, almost out of left-field. She didn't know anyone who had this condition, and there was nobody in her family who had anything like it. At the time, she didn't know very much about the condition, and when you're only 20 years old, she found it difficult to accept. She was in denial for many years, distracted by the success of her budding career at such a young age. She had her whole life ahead of her, ripe with possibilities.
