Often misdiagnosed. Infact, many people who are said to have ADHD actually have poor gut function and weak Vagal Tone. When we improve the Function in the Gut they get better.
ADHD is often diagnosed based on behavioral/psychological evaluation. This is acceptable, yet mis-diagnosis or over-diagnosis cannot be avoided because there is also physical cause. There must be physical sources to have physical symptoms. Although ADHD is commonly recognized as psychological dysfunction, physical factor with subtle soft tissue injury plays an essential role and cannot be totally ignored. In fact, soft tissue injury should be considered as the primary and first-line, if not the most important, focus of diagnosis and treatment, before confining exclusively on psychological/behavioral assessment and counseling. Without removing the obstacle of physical cause, psychological counseling, even medication, yields limited results. This is detailed in my book "NO MORE PAIN  All Pain Considered - A Breakthrough".
