“Can constipation cause stomach pain?”
I am a 16 year old male. I want to know if constipation can cause stomach pain?

Yes, it can, but the constipation would need to be fairly significant. A vague lower discomfort might arise if there is no bowel movement for more than 2-3 days, though individuals vary greatly in terms of what is a normal habit and what will cause pain. If the pain is clearly relieved by a bowel movement then you can be confident that it is arising in the colon and is related to lack of a bowel movement or buildup of stool. Stretching of the colon tends to cause the most pain and releasing stool will tend to decrease the stretching and hence decrease pain.
