I had a CT scan with dye. I have headaches after that. Can contrast dye cause headaches?

It is not common, but also not unknown. Chronic headache after contrast injection has not been described, however. Almost all symptoms after contrast injection disappear after a week or two. Chronicity has been described among the skin rash patient group. The frequency of untoward side effects is estimated to be approximately 2%, and it is almost solely in connection with known allergenic reactions in the afflicted individual.
