Urologist Questions Urinary Tract Infections

Can leaked urine in underwear cause a urinary infection?

I often have urine leaking out during the day, just a couple of drips. While I change my underpants twice a day, sometimes there are traces left behind. Could they result in a UTI?

Generally, this doesn't cause urinary tract infections. It can cause irritation. It would be best to find out why you are leaking and make sure you don't have infections on top of that.
No. Bacteria has to get into your bladder.
Yes.
