I am a 32 year old female. I wonder if you can see a baby at 5 weeks on an ultrasound?

That would be too early to see a heartbeat although you can see the gestational sac. Dr. Joyce

You can see a gestational sac, yolk sac, and, yes, likely a small fetal pole.
