It depends on the type of hip surgery. Usually yes, unless it is a hip replacement in which you may spend 1-2 nights in the hospital although it is becoming more common for this to be outpatient surgery. If it is a hip arthroscopy you will go home after surgery.
It depends on how well you regroup. How well your mind is. You tell yourself you can go home, then you will. If you become dependent, then they will refer you to a rehab center.
