I will have LASIK surgery. Do you have to wear sunglasses after LASIK?

You should always wear sunglasses whether you have had LASIK or not. The UV protection is necessary.
NO DIFFERENT THAN IF YOU DIDNT HAVE LASIK.
You do not have to wear sunglasses after surgery, but many patients are light sensitive and feel more comfortable wearing sunglasses. However, after PRK it is very important to wear UV protection as directed.=20
People usually prefer to since there is often some light sensitivity for the first few days after getting LASIK. This does not last forever. Just until the eye heals and recovers from the laser procedure. *Dr. Jeremy Gardner, OD, FAAO* *Neuro-Developmental Optometrist* ACHIEVE Family Vision 801-492-6393 *Teaming up with Professionals, Educators, and Parents to eradicate addressable learning challenges for Utah students by the year 2035.* CONFIDENTIALITY STATEMENT: In compliance with the Health Portability and Accountability Act "HIPAA" rule 104-91, this message, including any attachments, is intended only for use of the individual or entity to which it is addressed and may contain information that is privileged, confidential and exempt from disclosure under applicable law.
