I have gastritis and want to treat it. Do you need surgery for gastritis?

No. There are many kinds of gastritis but it would be exceedingly rare to require surgery. Most gastritis does not cause symptoms and does not need to be treated necessarily. Just because there is a finding does not mean it produces or explains symptoms.
