HSV is the common abbreviation for heres simplex virus, which is more or less ubiquitous.. Nearly everyone has been exposed to it but very few of us get sick from it. It is normally a benign infection (like a light case of the flu) when it breaks though, and it can also affect the female reprocutive tract, but only in isolated cases. In other words, it is nothing to worry about.
